8th Grade Band Football Performance Details
Below are all the details 8th grade band members need to know for football games for this year. Our first game is this Thursday, September 6 @ 5:30 p.m.
The location of the football game is at the high school football stadium.
The 8th grade band will play the National Anthem prior to the start of the game's start time of 5:30 p.m.
8th grade band members will stay after school for all football performances.
The football game will end.....when it ends. Games are unpredictable and we will dismiss the students as soon as the game is over.
Students will be dismissed following the game from the middle school band hall. Students may not be picked up from the high school and those who leave early will be deducted points from their performance grade.
For football performances, 8th grade band members will wear their band t-shirt, blue jeans, and tennis shoes. Students may wear sunglasses until the sun goes down. For the first game, students will use the black band t-shirt from last year. If you can't find the band t-shirt or never received one, wear a plain black t-shirt.
Students will get the 3rd quarter of the football game off to eat dinner. Students will get dinner from the concession stands. One large item and a bottle of water may be purchased for $1.00. Any other items after this must be purchased at regular price. The food items available for $1.00 will be a hamburger, cheeseburger, hot dog, or slice of pizza. Students may not have food delivered after school or during the game. If a student has food allergies, they must notify a band director to work out a solution.
We are always in need of parent volunteers to work the concession stands for the middle school football games. Duties include wrapping food items for the students, taking orders at the window, running food from the grill to the concession stands, etc. If anyone would like to volunteer for concession stands, please notify Mr. Hart by email.
