6th Grade Band.CV.7 - Our ‘Final’ Week Together for the school year!

Assignment 1This week, we want you to send us a video or recording of something you want to play. There are a ton of free music sources out there online. Of course you have a large library on SmartMusic. The goal is to pick something and work on it throughout the week for us to listen to your progress this year. You should pick something that will highlight your best playing attribute and that you enjoy, but also challenge yourself! Please post this on Microsoft Teams.

Assignment 2 to turn in on Microsoft Teams : Fill out this Google Survey and submit it. Once you submit it, go back in to Microsoft teams and click submit again to “turn in the assignment.”

Assignment 3/Summer Practice Please download this document. This is what we would like for you to use over the summer to practice with. Remember, just because it is coming to a close, it doesn’t mean that we should stop playing our instruments. Playing an instrument is just like going to the gym: once you stop going, you lose your results!! :-( You need to “stay in shape” on your instrument as much as you can over break. Play your instrument at least a few times a week to keep up with your abilities.

We are going to miss you but this is not a forever goodbye! We miss your silly jokes, awesome stories, your laughter you bring into our rooms, and those bright smiles when you play your instrument. We can’t wait to be reunited with all of you lovely band kiddos, what a special day it will be! Thank you so much for allowing us to teach you music. It is our hopes you have learned to love music and have a burning passion to play your instrument every day!! We also want you to know not to be strangers. If you want to send us a recording or video over the summer, you CAN! Check in with us every now and then to tell us how you are. We love all of you!
